Webquest: DNA and Forensic Science

INTRODUCTION

The first step is to learn about the structure and function of  DNA.  The next step will be to look at replication of DNA, transcription and translation.  Once you understand the basics of DNA, you will do virtual labs demonstrating how DNA fingerprints are made and read and solve a mystery.  The next step you will do a virtual lab on Gel Electrophoresis.

DNA:  Structure, Replication, Transcription, and Translation

As you read through these links, answer questions 1-11 on your answer sheet.

DNA Introduction   Let Gene, Polly, and more characters take you on a tour of DNA, RNA, proteins.
